12-Hour Stream... Bring it on!

Flash Fiction Live (FFL) is having its season-finale on 10 December 2022 via a 12-hour stream hosted by Chandra and I, with cohost from our friends who sign up for it.

If you were at our 12 our stream back in February, (link below), it will be similar. Three writing prompts, three games, a background bingo game, and all the fun that will be had.

I can't wait!

FFL will be on a break from 10 December until 7 January. Don't worry. My narration videos will still be posted on Fridays.

"Melanie's skip turned into a death march."

- Natalie Locke, "A Hostage Situation" Episode 181 FFL Stream - 8 October.

"Mr. Ruthridge had a natural boom to his voice, that made you think his whisper could be heard clear across a car manufacturer's assembly line."

- Natalie Locke, "A New Life on a New Planet" Episode 184 Twitch Stream - 23 October.

What I've Done

Last month I wrote about the flash contest websites I partake in. This month, I got recognized for the fruit of my labors.

For NYC Midnights' Flash Fiction Challenge #1, I submitted "John v. Ember." I didn't place, but I was able to attempt Challenge #2 with "Microphone. Breaks. Silence." I placed 4th, but didn't have enough points to part take in Challenge #3.

Click the picture below to read both stories on my website and other flashes I've written. Bring tissues!

Write-a-thon Fun

The World Wide Writeathon happened 21-23 October! Which is great, because I had flashes to catch up on.

With a full weekend of sprints, some I monitored myself, I had no reason not to do those flashes. So, thank you to all that participated in the WWW. You helped me write 3,584 words over 8 flashes and edit 1,355 words.
Links to the World Wide Writeathon Playlist are below. Look for me in Social Stream #3 (8am EST, Saturday, 22 Oct) and Productivity Stream #13 (6am EST, Sunday, 23 Oct)

Rough Imbalance

Hubby went on a well deserved week-long golf trip and my parents came to town for a visit, thankfully.

Both kids got sick, somehow on separate days. Then I got sick, but lost my voice in recovery, on my planned, lone, day-off that week. I didn't want to, but had to lean on my parents for school drop-off and cooking dinner, twice.

While that was happening, my poor puppy (Stitch) got an infected scratch/swollen eye and had two emergency vet visits.

Be kind to yourself when life happens and enjoy the pic of Lilo (R) and Stitch (L).
